Built in 1986 and hosting its first Grand Prix just a year later, the Circuit of Jerez has grown into one of MotoGP’s most beloved venues, becoming a centerpiece for a city passionate about sport. Nestled in a gentle valley in southern Spain, Jerez enjoys consistently favorable weather and stunning scenery, with numerous grandstands offering excellent views for up to 250,000 spectators. Featuring two alternative track layouts (4,423m and 4,428m), both resurfaced in 2005, the circuit is a favorite testing ground for many racing teams throughout the year. Recent upgrades to corporate and media facilities have added to its appeal, while significant improvements to the control tower and pit boxes have further enhanced the complex.
